Solo Adventures
I was always looking for ways to play role-playing games without friends. The most obvious option is gamebooks, where you jump from chapter to chapter depending on the decisions you make. These gamebooks are a lot of fun, but unfortunately you have very little freedom in the game.
Then I came across Game Master Emulator Second Edition. This system has completely changed the way I play solo. The DM is replaced by a coherent oracle, I can creatively develop the story myself, and there are lots of surprise elements thanks to the game engine. With this system, it's also possible to play with friends without a DM.Here are freely available fantasy pen and paper RPG solo adventures (gamebooks) with link to the sites of the authors.
